Lillian is coming of age, stuck in her mothers' perspective on how a teen "should behave." Lillian's concern with her appearance, while being in a complicated relationship with her mother, sends her on a violent streak of pills, booze, and selfies. Ultimately, she faces an internal question that asks if hashtags, likes, subscriptions and comments are what matter most in life.
