Trading Lens: a Sandra Semchuk Portrait
Canada Council for the Arts documentary portrait on the career and work of photographer Sandra Semchuk, winner of 2018 Governor General's Award in Visual and Media Arts. The film chronicles her body of work, autobiographical inspirations, and dialogue across generations, cultures and species, including her collaborations with her late husband, James Nicholas, Rock Cree actor and orator, to consider potential conciliations between indigenous and non-indigenous peoples.
